The Leon Valley District Committee is formally inviting your troop or crew to participate in the 2024 Leon Valley District Camporee. This event will occur on April 26-28, 2024, at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood).
They are cordially inviting all Scouting units in the area to join them in this unique scouting event. The Camporee will feature camper events that aim to test the scouting skills of your patrols and challenge the leadership skills of your patrol leaders. These events will cover some critical Scout to 1st Class Rank requirements and provide your patrols with a valuable opportunity to work on team building.
Additionally, III Corps and Fort Cavazos Leadership will be organizing several exciting activities such as vehicle and equipment displays, U.S. Army capability demonstrations, a classic 1st Cavalry Division "Cav Charge," meet and greet with the Soldiers and Horses of the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment, performances from the 1st Cavalry Band, a live DJ, a huge "bonfire" campfire, and VIP Eagle Scout Guest Speakers, including Sen. Pete Sessions, Lt. Gen. Sean C. Bernabe, and II Corps and Fort Cavazos Commanding General.
