District 14 VFW Auxiliary President Monthly Comments

October 1, 2020

Dear Auxiliary Presidents, Sisters and Brothers,

Last month was one for the record books.  I am truly privileged to be the leader of such an outstanding group of individuals.  Thanks for working so hard together to make things happen!

I want to thank our Madame Department President Ramona Henson for visiting District 14.  She was accompanied by our former Department President and current Chief of Staff Donna James.  Together they were a “hoot!”  It was a fun time for all as we formulated a plan to move forward.

I would like to recognize the efforts put forth by the Post and Auxiliary members from Belton, Copperas Cove and Temple as well as the Auxiliary members from Harker Heights and Marble Falls that pitched in to be sure the visit by our State officers and our first District meeting were successful.   I would also like to thank our District Commander, Carlo Davis, and our District Jr. Vice Commander Jimmie Surles for their efforts to ensure our special guests were treated like royalty.

September also saw some great progress toward our goals for the 2020 – 2021 Auxiliary year.  The Standing Rules are completed and signed.  The new Auxiliary to Post 9192 is up and running thanks to the efforts of Susie Wakeland.  Thank you, Susie!  More than half of our inspections have also been completed.

What’s Up?
