District 14 Commander Monthly Comments

June 2020

I want to applaud you for the outstanding work, and success that we have had this year. It has been my honor to serve with you and to achieve our goals, thank you all. Congratulations are in order for Commander-Elect Carlo Davis as the Incoming District 14 Commander and the other officers of class 2020-2021.

I am asking the District to give Commander Davis the support that was given to me and my staff of 2019-2020. Being your District Commander is something I will never forget and will always cherish, once again thanks for allowing me to serve with you.

The VFW as a whole is going through some tough times now, but we will overcome and win this battle with COVID-19 - Click Here for new Information on COVID-19. I ask all please continue to check on our members, the community and each other to assist where we can.  We have the State Convention in Georgetown, Texas (June 18-20, 2020 - Click Here To View Convention Schedule). The State Commander & State President's Homecoming is still scheduled for June 25-28, 2020 in Bay City, Texas 77414. Click here to read more about the Homecoming!

Commanders remember it is your responsibility to ensure that your VPR’s and any other correspondences are sent to Department and that they have been received and processed. You have five VPR’s to complete before you leave office on 20 June (Loyalty Day, Victory Over Europe, Memorial Day, D day and Flag Day).

To the Comrades and many dedicated members of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the VFW Auxiliary across this District, again I “THANK” each one of you for all you do for our Veterans.

Yours in Camaraderie,

Anson L. Booker
