District 14 Commander Monthly Comments

July 1, 2022

Comrades,
I would like to congratulate all newly elected Post/District Officers, and hope you
are settling into your elected positions.

We all owe Past District Commander Reece Carter a tremendous amount of
gratitude for the work he and his staff did. They faced a lot of challenges, but none
greater than Covid -19.

Post Commanders and Comrades, there is no change in our focus, our number one priority is to help veterans. Our second priority is Retention and Recruitment. Our membership goals remain the same, achieve 100%+ for each Post within our
District, add or convert 33 annual members to Life (3 per Post) and 11 Life
members to any level Legacy Life (1 per Post) and keep our retention above 90%.
Posts, call your members and check on their status. This is one way of showing we really care about our comrades.

Have the Post Quartermaster print a roster of all members and with the assistance
of the Post membership chairman, Post Senior/Junior Vice Commanders, and
various members of the district staff, select at least 5 members that they will contact
for the week. Post Commanders are expected to notify your respective staffs and
have these rosters printed and execution to begin at your earliest opportunity.

Reminders:

  - OTS is scheduled for 7-10 July 2022, at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.

    Kansas City, MO.
