First, I hope you had a “GREAT” Christmas with your love ones and I am wishing all of you a “Happy New Year for 2019!!

Over the Christmas period Post 10376 reach 100% in memberships in turned pushing the District memberships to 100.18% before the New Year of 2019. All I can said to each comrade across this “GREAT” District, is “THANK YOU” from the bottom of my heart. It’s truly has been a “TEAM” effort to achieve these numbers so early in my command. The job is not over at this time we still have to police up a few lose items for three or four Posts for them to make “ALL-STATE.

I would like to “THANKS” 9 Post Commanders for being 100% in Memberships at this time. They are Post 3393 (102%), Post 3892 (102%), Post 4008 (146%), Post 6974 (118%), Post 8539 (111%), Post 9191 (115%), Post 9192 (101%), Post 10376 (101%), and Post 10377 (100%). We have Post 8577 at 98% on track to make a 100% too. We have a chance to have 10 out of 11 Posts to make “All State” for 2018-2019 year. My “GOAL” this year was to provide the tools to all Posts/Commanders in District 14 for them to have the opportunity to make ALL-STATE!

Again, January is a busy month for us. We have our District 14 Meeting on the 19th of January 2019 at VFW Post 9192 in Killeen, Texas. We will be wearing our District 14 Red & Black Polo Shirt for the Joint & Business meetings. If you don’t have one please wear a Red or Black Polo Shirt, Thanks! Our State Representative will be the Texas Department Commander Inge Conley for our District 14 Meeting. So, let’s show her a “BIG” Central Texas “Welcome” to District 14.

Mid-Winter Round-up will be in Austin, Texas at the Doubletree Hotel on 24-27 January 2019. You can review the itinerary at www.texasvfw.org. In closing, I would like for each Commander to keep an eye on your status report. Please, remember Commanders it’s your responsibility to ensure that your VPR’s and any other correspondences are sent to Department has been received and processed. To the Comrades and many dedicated members of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the VFW Auxiliary across this District, again I “THANK” each one of you for all you do for Veterans.
