Chaplain Corner - October 2019
October 1, 2019
From the Chaplain’s Pen................................................................Chaplain Al Lowe
Here we go into the final quarter of the year. Looking back, we have done and accomplished many things. I will wait until the end of December Newsletter to name a few of those things, but I have been on the road quite a bit.
Most of the latter part of the year deals with training. If there is anything that you might want me to come to your Post for some training, I will do it. A couple of weeks ago, I went to District 3's Post 8785 in Mesquite to do a Suicide awareness training. I have also gone to several District meetings to conduct Memorial Training. There are many issues we accomplish as Comrades of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and most of them are very well conducted. My issue is to give hints and prods to make the issues even better to our Organization and the community. That being said, if you have something that you want or need training, perhaps I can be of your assistance. Give me a call.
Summer seems to hand on. The temperature is still in the 90s with no rain. Take care of yourself and check on the Comrades of the VFW and Auxiliary for their health and welfare.

Bible Verse Of The Month
Matthew - Chapter 5 - Verses -11-12
"Blessed are you when people insult you,
persecute you and falsely say all kinds of
evil against you because of me. Rejoice and
be glad, because great is your reward in heaven,
for in the same way they persecuted the prophets
who were before you."
