 Chaplain Corner - June 2021

June 1, 2021

Chaplain Al Lowe,

Comrade Chaplain Al Lowe is stepping down (Retiring) after serving almost 10 years as the District 14 Chaplain. He has been a shining example of a Christian man and his love for his God! He has taken care of comrades and veterans families across this District and State.

Al has served his country as an Infantry Soldier in Vietnam to Desert Storm as an Army Chaplain before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United State Army.

He has served as Post 4008 Chaplain for almost 10 years, and he has won the award as Texas VFW Chaplain of the Year during that time. For the last two years Al has been our State Chaplain where he won the prestigious award at National as the Chaplain of the Year. Al will step down as Chaplain after the Texas VFW State Convention this month. So, please give him a big "Thank You" when you see him!

We hope and pray that you and Linda can finally enjoy that new motorhome and travel over this state and country. From "ALL" the Comrades and VFW Auxiliary Members across this District you will be missed! God speed!

See you down range!
