 Chaplain Corner - December 2020

December 1, 2020

From the Chaplains Pen ………............…………………………………………. Al Lowe

December is always an exciting month. I will watch my favorite videos – about four copies of A Christmas Story – read my favorite Christmas book, visit many people, do many things. But I always remember, the Advent is a time of preparation of the Son of Man. And with that I pray for peace.

Many of us have spent a holiday or two separated from those whom we love  And walls and memorials are written of those who gave their all. We cannot forget, nor can we fail to thank those who have served.

So to all of my associates of the VFW and everywhere else, I send my personal and a well sent attitude of Thanks to you. You know who you are! Thanks, Brother & Sister.

Will be back again with another year. In the meanwhile, do smart things. Wash your hands. Do not get mixed into a gaggle of people. And the simplest of all – WEAR YOUR MASK!

Blessings,

Al Lowe

Luke Chapter 2 Verses 11-14

“ 11. – Today in the town of Davis a Savior has been born to you;

he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12. – This will be a sign to you: “You

will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a mange.” 13. – Suddenly

a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising

God and saying, 14. – “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace

 to those on whom his favor rests.”
