Chaplain Corner - December 2019
December 1, 2019
From the Chaplains Pen ………............…………………………………………. Al Lowe
It is well to write to you knowing this is the final letter of 2019. At least it is assumed that you know this to be the final month of the year. All kinds of things happen this month. There are birthdays, graduations, parties, get-togethers to name a few. But for me, this is the time of celebrations of the birth of God's grace in the form of Jesus. I will not argue whether December 25 is the absolute day of birth or even if December is the absolute month. All of that arguing is worthless. What is the anthesis of worthless is that God sent Jesus for the reason of atonement, forgiveness, and the proper relationship between man and God.
I know not everyone agrees with me; but this is what I believe, proclaim, and am witness to you and everyone with whom I may contact. And I invite everyone into the family of Christ.
I do hope and pray your time is full of joy, peace, and love. Remember also our brothers and sisters in need of our help. Take advantage of this opportunity and share a piece of bread, a cup of juice, and a warm blanket. This is what we do.
Blessings to all,
“Bible Verse Of The Month”
Luke Chapter 2 Verses 11-14
“ 11. – Today in the town of Davis a Savior has been born to you;
he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12. – This will be a sign to you: “You
will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a mange.” 13. – Suddenly
a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising
God and saying, 14. – “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace
to those on whom his favor rests.”
