From the Chaplain’s Pen ........................................................ Chaplain James A. Sneed

Here it is August, already. With the conclusion of the Department of Texas and shorter National Conventions, we have a new District 14 Commander, Comrade Reece E. Carter, and a new Department of Texas Commander, Comrade Norman Macey. It now becomes the honor to respect these two gentlemen – along with all who have been elected and or appointed. There are new ideas to engage. There are new goals to attain. There is a different attitude – and all of this is new with every election.

Over the coming year I will be going to the District meetings of the VFW and making a presentation on different subject that near to my heart. One of the things I am talking about is the visitation of the VFW Comrades by the VFW and VFW Auxiliary members by the Auxiliary. Everyone seems to like a visit from a friend who shares some of the same points of living.

So I say to YOU! How about going to visit some of the men and women of the VFW for a personal visit. Give it a try.

Share with others.

Blessings,

James A. Sneed
